Masks

These are two of my sons. The older one (the handsome one with the long hair) had braces for two years and has been going to a dermatologist for three. The result....fangs and green skin. They'll give anyone a medical degree nowadays.

What is your purpose in life? What is your reality? What are your perceptions? I don't think any of us can answer those questions with any degree of certainty. The solution...we create personas to deal with the vagaries of life. We are one person in one situation and another in the next. We don't consciously change our masks, they change for us, instantaneously. A therapist would call it coping skills. We would think that it is just part of who we are to deal with whatever situation in the necessary manor. It's neither....because we're all fake. We all wear the masks....some of us better than others.
